KaizenEX wins the Product Development category at Engineer Friendly City Fukuoka Award 2024

KaizenEX, the kaizen proposal app developed by Gentei Inc. (Fukuoka, Japan; CEO: Haruka Motozutsumi), won the Product Development category of the EFC AWARD 2024, organized by Engineer Friendly City Fukuoka (EFC). The ceremony was held on December 19, 2024 at Engineer Cafe in Fukuoka.

About the award

The Product Development category recognizes individuals and teams who built outstanding products through the hackathon and contest “Engineer Driven Day (EDD).” Gentei entered KaizenEX as “an app that quickly drafts kaizen plans for manufacturers using AI.”

The organizers noted that careful prompt design makes the app approachable even for first-time users.

KaizenEX turns spoken observations from the shop floor into structured improvement proposals using generative AI. The goal is to accumulate frontline knowledge — veteran experience and past improvement cases — in a form the whole organization can reuse.
